HAHA.

I've been M.I.A for a long time now, so allow me to reintroduce myself lol. I'm Stesha as some of you may remember. I have good reason for not being active in a while, I could never sign in because I forgot my password :| . I feel like an idiot for even disclosing that info with yall, how much of an ass do you have to be to forget the password YOU created? Moving on, all is well for the most part, I just celebrated my 20th birthday woo hoo. This is getting long, so I'll wrap it up. I just wanted to give a quick update and I'll try to make updates when I find it fitting and participate in more activities with Urbnfiends.

So, we discussed it and decided we'd only be accepting four members. This isn't like one of our regular calls. My intention was to have a scouting only member call. But, I decided I'd put an application out there and see what happens. We got a couple of hits and I decided to post them here and let you guys take a look.

The thing I really want you to understand is that anyone can have an opinion, anyone can give criticism, but if your response isn't developed; you can't expect your advice to be taken seriously.

Usually our application process is very simple, fill out the application, complete the challenge, and then wait for either an acceptance letter, or a rejection letter. Only, most members aren't apart of the process for accepting new members. I want everyone to be apart of it.

The reason why is most of the applicants urbnfiends received is because of the tag (urbnfiends.(yournamehere) The tag we've been asking you all to put on your graphic since the beginning. I completely understand that some of the applicants may be someone you've already been working with and I believe that's all the more reason to include you in it.

Overlooking some of the members, and past conflicts with reviewing we won't be doing a blend challenge for all the applicants. We, however, we look into each applicant and decide what we're not seeing in their preview graphics and give them a chance to show us in their graphic challenge.

So, in the comments I want to leave your opinion of our new application process.

Anjel has been making graphics for over a period of 5 months. Devon Ashley has been making graphics on and off for a couple of years. Criss been making graphics for five years and believes her displacement and space-age look is what will most help her to stand out.


I scouted one person in particular Scout Number one. Her opening graphic really caught. The simplicity of it caught me off guard, and I haven't been apply to forget about it since.

I've really excited to say that we are coming along very well. I knew we wouldn't be able to recover 100%, but with the members that we still have trust that we have only been affected in size not talent.

Niqua, who initially created urbnfiends has been on a prolonged hiatus. Although she isn't currently with us she is to be well-respected among all members current and future.

To those of you who responded promptly to my email, I do thank you. I'm on a mission to have us set up so that we will be able to close 2009 with a viewing of each members recurring progress.

I am currently scouting members. If you all would like to help or take a look at our most recent applications let me know and I'll send that information over for you.

I'm sorry about the closing of public views of this site. Some of you have made me aware that you have misplaced your log in information to this blog. But, if you haven't noticed by now I always close the public viewing when we have something big going on.

So right about now I'm figuring out how I'm going to keep up managing urbnfiends and school. I'm going to begin attending The University of Mississippi on January 15th and I plan to be resident assitant and a conference assitant which means I'll be in school year round.

I do plan to do more than a little bit of networking while I'm there, so there's that also.

The list of production members that you see on this blog to the right is going to decrease. I'll be removing some old members that I haven't heard from since before my laptop crisis.

I am currently advertising membership openings on the bbs reloaded site, and I'll began scouting for members on Monday. I don't plan on adding any new members until my current membership list is verfied. I've come in contact with a good amount of you and I'm so excited about you still being on urbnfiends roster.

If you know me then you know I have alot of ideas. And, my plan is to get this thing done as fast as possible so we can bring 2010 in right.

If your wondering is there anything you can do to help; the answer is yes. Urbnfiends does need help with scouting for new members, and if there are any members whose contact information has changed over the year and you have it I need it.

It's a sad sad thing for a designer to have computer problems, but that's exactly what I've had. Not only was my home computer acting up, my laptop was acting up. So I had Comcast and Dell on speed dial quick fast && in a hurry. Today (my third time on the computer since...what early 2009??) I took the time to refresh my graphic skillz. I'm still trying to find my style, but seems as though the style I really want to start up is taken. Sad Face. Hopefully sen'10'r year won't be so crazy that I don't get to design because I've had a long enough hiatus to push me back. Ooooo well. Peace.Love.FortuneCookies.

Leave it up to me to go reevaluating my worth two weeks before graduation. There are so many people that I have spent my entire senior year in love with, and then there are the few that came into my life just months before graduation. But, I think about it and on the day of graduation after we have all walked across the stage and the time has finally come for us to take pictures and say goodbye for the last time whose gonna come reach out for me.



Better yet, whose still going to be someone I'm in love at the end of my freshman year in college. I'm a person who hates to say goodbye. And, I hate to think the good times I've shared with people this year were the last times we were ever going to spend together.



But, I should a known there was a reason this year was so full of lessons learned. It's because I had to know that I could do well on my own. And now I have to go do well somewhere away from Memphis, and away from everyone I have ever depended on. I guess it's just about that time I start depending on me. Eh.

This is my work in progress. It's not there yet. But, I'm working on it. More than me.

I GOT AN INSPIRATION! :) ever since I heard Drake's So Far Gone mixtape I have been in love so I mean it was only a matter of time before I decided to just make something of the man himself. Another inspiration was from this graphic maker named Neka i believe. She's apart of excelled and has a showcase on BBS. I believe he work is phenomenal. She is one of the best I have seen in my opinion because sometimes her work is so simple and looks nice. And that is what I have been trying to capture with my work for a while,simpleness so yeah. I can tell that much more of my work will be like this because well I'm not the biggest fan of blending and crap. Sooo yeah

how could yu be so HEARTLESS ;; with the help of my idol Ren, i managed to make this cute little Kanye West theme blend. I think i'm starting to get better. I will soon have a tutorial up on how to make this cute little signature that I learned how to make not too long ago. I may also make an icon tutorial because people are starting to use those more daily. MY LIFE ;; school has been going great for me. cheerleading season is over with and I basically I nothing to do now. There is this one boy who has captured my heart, but we aren't in a relationship. I will hopefully be making more graphics like the Kanye West one and more.

hey guys! Been kinda sorta gone for a while I guess you could say. Nothing new has been going on as usual same old same old. I am going through this big graphic block if that is what you would like to call it. I have all these pictures downloaded of artist I want to make graphics of but I don't know what to do with them! So now I'm stuck making colorizations and even at that I am just like blah. My free trial of PSP X2 is about to expire :( ! But I have all these keygens on my computer so we shall see if I can use them, PSP9 gets on nerves cause it isn't compatible with Vista & blah blah blah. Anyhow, I also want to revamp my personal blog or make my own twitter but I need help making my own layout for my blog. So if anyone knows and would like to help that would be great :).

Group Challenges

I decided that we would have some challenges within the group to basically test each others limits.
What I want you guys to do is come up with your own challenge that all urbnfiend members must participate in. It can be a blend challenge, a colorization challenge etc. I would rather they not be those exact things. Like I said we're testing each others limit and while we all might be able to colorize we can definitely blend. I mean you wouldn't be in this group if you didn't. So take some time to think and have your challenge topic submitted to urbnfiends.challenges@yahoo.com by Friday, February 13, 2009. And, I want you're completed challenge by Monday, February 16, 2009.

So my competition in Nashville is canceled. The only thing I got for Christmas are bangs and an Ipod. My favorite song right now is "Halo" by Beyonce. The Knowlegde Bowl team just won against West Arkansas "On To The Second Round Babe!" I'm in love with myself right now. Working on a couple things like college applications Missouri State University, UT Chattnoga, Still haven't decided whether I'm going in the Fall or the Winter. I have to call the Admissions Office and see whether or not starting in Winter would be a good choice for me.

I'm looking for a paying gig. Hopefully I'll start getting some income. Right now I'm about to do some things for urbnfiends like the Cover Girl Challenge. VOTE! Magazine Assignments. Look for some manipulations. Type up something for the website. www.freewebs.com/urbn-fiends

Other than that, My life is pretty boring. Hanging out with friends ordering pizza. I'm into a guy right now, but he isn't into me or he's scared or whateve the hell we're on friendship level.
